The "very social" Tweed Border Ulysses Branch boasts to be in the heart of some of the "best" motorcycle roads in Australia...visitors are always welcome to join us ...
How it all began
Tweed Border Ulysses was formed in 1999 from a need in the area for a club to cater for the enjoyment of mature motorcyclists. A meeting was advertised for interested motorcyclists to be held at the South Tweed Sports Club in June 1999 and was attended by approx 30 persons. From this meeting it was agreed that a request be sent to Natcom for the formation of a Ulysses Branch in the area and that it be named Tweed Border. Confirmation from Natcom was received a couple of months later & the rest is history.
The South Tweed Sports Club has been the monthly meeting place since formation. The monthly meetings are preceded by a meal for interested members and guests who wish to socialize and catch up prior to the meeting. Active club membership has remained at approx 40 members over the years with new arrivals and old departures keeping the numbers static.
Long weekends and Easter breaks have seen our members ride to many destinations of interest with much comradarie along the way. Members have ridden many kilometers and attended most AGM’s since 1999.
